The Wedge were a Wellington group formed in 1969 from the break up of the Vibrons. Geoff and Matt had both been members.

Graeme Thompson and Warren Willis had both been original members of Tom Thumb.

Milton Parker, previously with the Relics and Freshwater, didn't stay long, as he left to form Tangent and move to Australia. Warren Willis left and was replaced by Jerry Brockhouse.

The Wedge only recorded one single during their time. It was in September 1969 for HMV.

They did however provide the backing track for Lianne on her Tree single.

Geoff Culverwell ended up in a later version of Quincy Conserve in 1974.
