These booklets were interleaved with waxed paper. The panes were stapled between the two card covers. W3a was sold with a surcharge of ½d to cover the cost of manufacture, by means of a ornamental star dummy stamp.

    Two panes of ½d Edward VII (H1a, SG387), the first with 6 stamps and the second with 5 stamps and an ornamental star. Three panes of 6 of 1d Dominion Stamp (J1a, SG405). Stamps perforated 14x15, watermark W7.  
 

 

   
W3b SB7 1912 (May) 2/- Booklet 4,500.00
    Two panes of 6 of ½d Edward VII (H1a, SG387). The ornamental star from W3a having been omitted. Three panes of 6 of 1d Dominion Stamp (J1a, SG405). Stamps perforated 14x15, watermark W7. The side selvedges now had bars, but were plain on the top or bottom bindings. Later printings added the bars to the binding selvedges as well.
