 1902 The First Definitives

These booklets contained panes of 6 1d Universal Stamps (G7a, SG303b, thin Cowan paper, perforated 14). The panes were made up of 2 vertical rows giving three pairs. Panes had binding selvedge at the top or bottom and were interleaved with waxed paper. The panes were stapled between the two card covers. The booklets were sold with a surcharge of ½d to cover the cost of manufacture.
