The Michael Doohan Pack was issued in April 1995. Quantity produced was 5,000, with 4,600 packs being returned to Telstra for destruction. For details on this card, refer MICHAEL DOOHAN. The pack did not sell as well as expected by the producer. This was partly due to the fact that it was a $20 card being issued at $59.50, and also that there were a number of other custom cards flooding the market at the time. With 4,600 cards being returned to Telstra, leaving a maximum of 400 folders, and Doohan going on to win a further two World Championships, after the release of this card, the packs popularity has increased, but remains very rare. |
