The Broadway Recording Studio was situated in Dunedin. The studio normally only recorded radio commercials. When Neville Barry recorded two songs there, it was decided to release the two songs as a single. It was released in 1960 on the Broadway label, and is the only single release on that label. They did release a couple of EP's in 1962.
