Unofficial Overprints & Convention Issues

 

The above note was issued at the 1990 Numismatic Convention. There were 300 notes issued with prefix AMR 000001 to 000300. The note itself was not overprinted.
The above note was issued in 1991 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Wellington Coin Club. There were a total of 200 issued with 100 having prefixes AMS 976001 to 976100,
and then another 100 with AMS 976501 to 976600. Green Overprint.
The above note was issued in 2000, commemorating "First To See The Dawn" issued by the Wellington Coin Club. There were 200 issued with prefixes ANB 261001 to 261200. Red Overprint.
The quantity of 200 was later reduced when 27 of them were further overprinted, see below.


The above consecutive pair of notes were issued in 2006. They are the original 2000 overprint, see above, commemorating "First To See The Dawn" issued by the Wellington Coin Club,
with an additional overprint to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of RNSNZ and also the 40th Anniversary of the Wellington Coin Club. There were only 25 issued with prefixes ANB 261167 to 261191,
plus 2 trials ANB 261053 & ANB 261054. This issue reduced the quantity of the 2000 issue from 200 to 173. The Overprints are Red for the Dawn and Black for the 75th & 40th.
A further copy is shown with the last serial number ANB 261191 in the range of 25.
The above pair of notes were issued at the 2009 Numismatic Society Of Auckland 50th Anniversary. There were only 25 pairs issued with the rubber overprint on various prefixes.
The pair consists of one with the Russell signature and the other with the Brash signature.
The above note was issued at the 2011 Convention to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of RNSNZ. There were 3 notes issued with black overprint, 17 with red overprint and 80 with blue overprint.
The above note was issued at the 2014 New Zealand Numismatic Conference. There were 3 notes issued with black overprint, 17 with red overprint and 80 with blue overprint.
The above note was issued in 2015 by the Tauranga Numismatic Society to commemorate their 50 years. There were 80 notes overprinted (AGP 136805-885), but numbers 812 & 842 were destroyed, leaving 78 issued.
The above note was issued at the 2017 Decimal 50 Years Conference. There were 4 notes issued with black overprint (AGP 136900-903), 12 with red overprint (AGP 136904-915) and 84 with blue overprint (AGP 136916-999).
